Best Fire Stick and Android TV Apps: October 2026 List
Reezn TV is still number one, Clip Box is blazing fast, FlixQuest brings 800+ live channels, and Aniken (formerly Anilili) is the pick for anime. The full October list.
October is here, and there is plenty happening already. New apps, big updates, faster streaming, and live TV, movies, shows, anime and sports across the board. I have been working through the latest apps and updates so you do not have to, and this is where things stand going into the month.
Reezn TV is still my number one
Heads up: Reezn is down right now. It is not loading for anyone at the moment, so if it closes or will not open for you, that is why, and nothing is wrong with your device. I will update this as soon as it is back. Until then, Cinema HQ and Clip Box below are the ones to reach for.
Reezn TV is still my top pick for live TV, movies and TV shows. It is absolutely packed with content, and it keeps holding its place month after month. If you have not opened it in a while, October is a good time to see what has changed.
The Reezn install guide covers Fire Stick, Android TV and ONN.

Cinema HQ is still going strong
Cinema HQ keeps its spot. There is plenty of live TV alongside a big selection of movies and TV shows, which makes it one of the better all in one apps around.
The full walkthrough is in the Cinema HQ guide.

Clip Box is fast and smooth
Clip Box is still performing great after its recent update. It has been blazing fast, and in my testing movies have been playing with very little buffering. One to keep on your list this month.
The Clip Box guide gets it on any device.

PlayTorrio has grown into a packed app
PlayTorrio has turned into a serious all rounder:
- Tons of live TV channels
- Movies
- TV shows
- Sports and live content
Streaming has been running with very little buffering in my testing. One thing to keep in mind: if you use its torrent based sources, torrent streaming can expose your IP address to peers. Only watch what you have the right to, and keep privacy in mind.
New to it? Here is how to install and use PlayTorrio.

Aniken, for the anime fans
Anime fans, this one is for you. Aniken is one of the better-looking anime apps I have seen, and it is built for a TV remote rather than a phone screen. If it looks familiar, it is the app that used to be called Anilili, rebuilt and renamed. If you installed Anilili from last month's list, Aniken is the one to move to.
The Aniken install guide walks you through it.

Sozo TV, plus a quick source tip
Sozo TV continues to be a solid option, and one setting makes a real difference. If you are using it as a Guest, go into Sources and make sure VidAPI is active. That source has worked well in my testing.
The Sozo TV guide covers the install and the source setting step by step.

FlixQuest: 800+ live channels
FlixQuest was one of our more exciting recent finds, and there is a lot packed inside it:
- 800+ live TV channels
- Tons of movies
- Tons of TV shows
If you have not tried it yet, October is the month. Here is how to install FlixQuest.

StreamFlix: old but gold
StreamFlix is not one of the newest apps any more, but sometimes old is gold. Quick tip: for English movies, select the TMDB Community Server from the English dropdown.
The StreamFlix install guide if you need it.

Voltra TV is still holding up
Voltra TV continues to hold up well. It is a fast app with a good mix of live TV, movies and TV shows, and it keeps making the monthly list for a reason.

FlixVision, a longtime favourite
FlixVision has been around longer than most of the newer apps, and plenty of people still love it. Its big draw is still the huge selection of live TV channels, so there is always something to browse.
One thing to know: FlixVision launches through the Virtualizer, which you can get from LinkDrop under Tools and Utilities. The FlixVision guide covers it.

Why this list changes every month
The streaming app world moves fast. An app can work perfectly today and have problems tomorrow. New apps appear, old ones get updated, sources change, and sometimes an app suddenly gets a lot better than it was. That is why this list is monthly, and I will keep testing and sharing what I find through the month.
Get everything on this list the easy way
On a Fire Stick, skip typing app links one at a time:
- Easiest: type newstore.tv into Downloader to install TV Wizard, my own setup app. It puts the app stores in for you in one go.
- LinkDrop on its own: open linkdrop.store and click Explore the collection. No code needed.
LinkDrop works on Fire TV and Fire Stick, onn. 4K devices, Android TV and other Android based streaming boxes. On an ONN box or Android TV, Browsy is the other route: type a short code, get the app. The full code list covers everything.
New to all of this? The sideloading guide and the app stores rundown get you from zero to loaded.
A word on VPNs
For online privacy and security, I test my streaming setup with IPVanish. Here is why a VPN matters on a Fire Stick. A VPN does not give permission to access copyrighted content, so always use apps and content legally where you live.
Support NewTech for free
If these monthly updates help you, the best way to support NewTech costs nothing. Subscribe to the NewTech YouTube channel, like the videos, leave a comment, and share it with family and friends. I never ask for money or donations, and sharing NewTech genuinely helps more than you know.
That's October
Thank you to everyone who reads these, watches the videos and shares the channel. Tell me your favourite app of the month in the comments, and if there is a great app I do not have in the store yet, name it. Last month's picks are still in the September list.
Stay private on your Fire Stick with IPVanish
It's the VPN I run on my own Fire Stick. It hides what you stream and sideload from your internet provider, and unblocks a lot more.
